It is said that below the
Kyauk Pyatha pagoda near Mogok, you can get the most beautiful saphire in the world.
The rocks are totally unstable and a lot of people have died, trying to dig the mountains below
the pagodas.
Now it is forbidhen by the Buddhist monks to search for gems below the pagoda. Some are
trying to dig tunnels far away in the forest towars the pagoda......
