Some photographs of the huge "water fighting" in Myanmar during the New year and before the Buddhist New Year. During 3 days, everybody is celebrating all around the country.
It is in Yangon, especially on Inya Road and near the Lake Inya, that the crowd and celebrations are the most spectacular.
If you are in Myanmar during the water festival, it is good also to go in small village where the Water Festival festivities are more relaxing and traditional.
Keep in memory if you are travelling in Myanmar during the Water Festival.
- Take a water proof camera (or do not go outside with it ...)
- Transportations are very difficult, especially by taix or private card and prices increase a lot.
- All offices are closed.
