Sunset on a pagoda in Amarapura view from the U Bein bridge . The U Bein bridge crosses
the Taungthaman lake. The birdge is made of 984 teak pillars, and its length is 1.2 km. The teak pillars
has been recovered on the former palace of Inwa. The bridge of U Bein and the city of Amarapura is
in vicinities of Mandalay, one half-hour by taxicab . It is a good place to see the sunset . In addition, it is possible in dry season to have a drink or a snack on the banks of the stream in
one of the small Burmese stall .
