Sunrise on the pagodas of Bagan.
The site of Bagan dates from the XI century and has around 5 000 pagodas.
The advent of king Bamar Anawratha in 1044 marks the beginning of Bagan. The Bagan site
shelters some of the more remarkable pagodas in the whole Burma
and all Asia: Shwezigon, and especially Ananda.
