Last minute news : October 2006 floods in central Myanmar - Burma

We had very strong rain during the first 2 weeks of October. Roads are sometimes closed or on very bad conditions.
Update information 22-10-2006 :
Yangon : No problem.
Yangon - Mandalay by road : Open, very bad road, especially the first 10 hours... no other problem..
Yangon - Mandalay by train : Open, no more night trains, but it is not linked to the floods.
Mandalay, airport acces, old road (45 minutes drive) : Closed.
Mandalay, airport acces, new road (1h30 drive) : Open.
Mandalay - Bagan, old road : Closed.
Mandalay - Meiktila - Pyapataung - Bagan, new road : Open
Mandalay - Kalaw, shortway by the mountain : probably closed.
Mandalay - Meiktila - Thassi - Kalaw : Open.
Mandalay - Monywa - Pakkokhu - Bagan :Open, no problem.
Bagan - Kalaw (old road) : Closed.
Bagan - Kalaw (nouvelle route) : Open, 60 miles longer than the old road (Kalaw, Thazi, Meiktila - Bagan)
Bagan - Pindaya - Inle - Taungyi : Open, very bad road before Kalaw to climb from Thazi.
Inle - Khaungdhein (village eastern side of the lake) : Closed.
Inle - Pindaya : Open.
Inle - Heho : Open.
Inle - Taungyi : Open.
