Explanation and chart for market day in Inle lake area for 2009

A = Heho, Kyone, Taung Doe, Nar Baung, Nam Kyue
B = Aung Ban, Taungyi, Ywama floatting market (on the lake), Kyauk Ta Lone
C = Mine Thauk (banks of the lake), Pwe Hla, Phaung Daw OO (on the lake), Kyauk Tine (banks of the lake)
D = Kalaw, Khaung Daing (banks of the lake), Indein (banks of the lake), Shwe Nyaung, Maw Pi
E = Nyaung Shwe, Nampan, Pindaya, Ham See, Sagar.

Our favourite markets are (first) Sagar and then Indein. You should arrive very early to the market and directly climb to the pagoda. You will see the villagers going down to the market, walking through old small pagodas.

For all the full moon day (blue) and black moon (green), markets are held one day ahead. You have 2 markets the day before the full moon and black moon day.
