Choose a hotel in Monywa (Po Win Taung cave) !

Monywa is located 3 hours drive from Mandalay in the Sagain division. The road is in good condition. You can go to Monywa by :

- Local bus, departure every hour from Mandalay. it is the cheapest way..
- car, expensive but as usual you are more free and you can stop more easily to visit interesting pagodas such as Thamboday.
- Plane. Monywa's airport has been renovated recently, you can now come with Air Bagan (but it is not daily)

Monywa is close to the splendid Po Win taung cave that you must visit in Myanmar. It is clever way to go to Bagan, travelling by Monywa and make a night stop.

Win Unity hotel

Category : 3 stars.
Very nice and green garden, big swimming pool which is a big plus in Monywe (very hot city), confortable rooms, the lake front and deluxe garden being the best.
It is also the most expensive hotel of Monywa, but at least it is quiet, green and almost new.
A very good choice and the best hotel by far in Monywa.

Chindwin hotel

New hotel open only in February 2013, down town Monywa but not far from the Win Unity and Monywa hotel (5 minutes by car).
It is modern tower style building with 7 floor and a terrace on the roof with the best view on Monywa and the countryside around. You can even see the huge standing Buddha image 20 km away.
Rooms are clean, not funny but with everything you can expect in a new hotel.
We recommend the superior rooms on the back because the deluxe could be noisier (on the street but traffic at night in Monywa is minimal).

Monywa hôtel

A longtemps été le seul hôtel 'acceptable" de la ville. Le Monywa Hotel a été entièrement rénové en 2005, les chambres "supérior" et même les chambres standard sont tout à fait confortables, propres, et toutes équipées de l'air conditionné (indispensable à Monywa).
Les salles de bains ont été récemment entière refaites. Dans cette gamme de prix, c'est le meilleur choix sur Monywa.
