Choice in Bago is quite limited. Three "hotels-guest
house" located downtown Bago near the main road and buses
station (all very noisy, but at least Myananda hotel is clean),
a hotel (the Bago Star hotel ) located at 2 km from the city
center but very quiet.

A new hotel, the Mariner have open down town near Shwemadaw pagoda.

Bago Star Hotel
Category : 1 ou 2 stars
The best hotel in the city (except the hotel managed by the
government), a little far from the downtown (2 km), close
to the 4 figures pagoda and close to a small bus station (pick-up).
Quiet (this is very rare in Bago), clean, a little expensive,
but so quiet...

Mariner hotel
Category : 2 stars
New hotel opened in March 2013. It is moderne building (6 stories) located on the main road going directly to Shwemadaw pagoda. This road is quiet.
The mariner is not a charming hotel, but the road is quiet, hotel is new, real bathroom, quiet air con, and for the rooms located on the highest two floor, you get a stunning view on the Shwemawdaw pagoda (which is taller than Shwedagon in Yangon).
A very good choice, until now the best in Bago.
Restaurant and coffee shop at the 2nd floor, shops at the ground level.

Myananda hotel
Category : 1 star
Located downtown Bago (on the right side when you arrive in
the city center).
Clean but noisy (as the other two hotels), very close to the
Bus station for Mandalay or Yangon. A good cheap hotel, do
not take the rooms on the street...
