Rooms : Two type of room:
- Old superior or standard room in the old wood building : avoid !
- new superior room in the new building.
The new rooms are acceptables, they are clean with a small very simple bathroom. Rooms are not at all soundproof...far from it and if you take the rooms near the terrace, you will probably enjoy outside talks lake in the evening... try to avoid them even if they have a nice view.
Restaurant : Myanmar,
Shan, Chinese, in the old wood building, not fun at all....
Comments :
There is only two hotels at the top of the mountain, the Mountain top and the Kyaikhtiyo hotel.
As it is a former goverment hotel, it has the best place with the best view on the sunset.
Rooms are expensive (a little more than the Mountain top), acceptable, no more (and quite noisy).
Try to avoid the restaurant, and do stay in the old room (wood building).
Unfortunately this hotel spoil also the entire view......
