Magical journey in the unspoiled world of the Mergui Archipelago in Myanmar

Mergui archipelago extends from Dawei to the southern point of Myanmar.
it is an unspoiled archipelago of more than 800 island, mostly without any inhabitant, only virgin beaches,
wild fauna and the famous Mokem (an ethnic group which is living on boat).

It is a fantastic place, which was one the most remove and difficult to access on earth. Now it is opening slowly to tourism, you have a superb oppoturnity to discover this place.

Departure from Thailand or Myanmar..

You can start to explore the Mergui archipelago from :

- Thailand. If you stay at Rannong, near the Myanmar border, we can organise for you a car from your hotel to the boat jetty.

- Myeik or Kawthaung in Myanmar. If you are travelling with Ananda Travels, we will add in your program in Myanmar the visit of Dawei. You can choose easily from where you want to start your journey in the island (Kawthaung or Myeik) as there is now a very good, reliable airline (Air bagan) whici has scheduled flight from Yangon to these cities.


Cruise and archipelago exploration.

We propose you a cruise in the Mergui archipelago from 3 days to 7 days. You will have the opportunity to swin and spot on totally virgin unspoiled island, do sea kayaking to explore island, sleep on the beach (we provide ten).
Mangrove is still in perfect condition, Lampin island is a paradise for wild animals.
